The double girder overhead crane system consists of a single bridge beam, the ends of which are supported by the undercarriage. The hoisting machine operates on the bottom sheet of the bridge beam. It is generally preferred in capacities of 16 tons and below and bridge openings below 25 meters. It is more economical compared to double beam systems in standard applications. Additional equipment (basket, ladder, platform etc.) may be required for their maintenance compared to double beam systems.
